Background
The EU 2020 strategy emphasizes that growth should be smart, sustainable, and inclusive. Smart growth means developing economies based on knowledge and innovations. These priorities pose significant challenges for politicians and academia. The SEEK programme aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of policy rationales, the design of appropriate policy instruments as well as their effectiveness and efficiency.
